There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and th instrument plays itself.

                                                                                                                                           -Johann Sebastian Bach

Although he is revered today as a great and influential composer, Johann Sebastian Bach was a legend in his own lifetime for his incredible skill as an organist.

One of the greatest composers of all time. Bach wrote hundreds of pieces for organ, choir, as well as many other instruments. He spent most of his life as a church organist and a choir director. His music combines profound expression with clever musico-mathematical feats, like fugues and cannons in which the same melody is played against itself in various ways.

Johann Sebastian Bach was famous for his name alone. He was a member of a family of musicians whose talents appeared continously for two centuries(Bach).

Historically, his innovative genius has proven to be the greatest event in musical history. Many basic factors in music were initiated or actually invented by Bach. Good examples are the use of the tempered scale and a much-needed new keyboard technique that he introduced, which is standard today. Chronologically he can be said to mark the end of the prolific and variegated Baroque Era which extended roughly from 1600 to the year of his death, 1750(Bach).
